Miguel-Antonio Pena is a Junior with a unique interest in art and illustrating. He first picked up the brush at two years old and has continued his artistic abilities. Art is a big aspect of his life and he plans on pursuing a career in animation. Miguel joined the newspaper to improve his art and try something new. He plans to make comics and create something people will enjoy!
Besides his passion for art and creating, Miguel has several other hobbies. He has been involved in the orchestra since 5th grade and plays the viola. Miguel is also a member of Miarchia and Tri-M. Being a musically inclined person is very important to him. Just like art, this can be seen in his everyday life. When it comes to art and music, he enjoys combining the two.
“I really like to play music and just draw, it’s really relaxing,” he shared. It’s the perfect match to get the creativity flowing, almost like a feeling of freedom. His art is usually his own unique way but can be recognized as a cartoon-like style.
His family and friends have always been big supporters of his art. Miguel also shared that a big motive was seeing other creators online make something like him. His interests range from art, music, legos, video games, and cats! He currently owns two cats. One was named Luma, and the other was named Katashi.
If you know Miguel, you know his bubbly personality can light up the whole room. His personality can be showcased through his drawings. He also describes himself as a very outgoing person. His kindness and humor make him a more loving environment. Miguel is a rainbow gel pen in a world full of blue and black pens. He sticks out for all the right reasons and brings smiles everywhere. He shared a love for being social and having new interactions with people.
“I think I’m a very nice person to be around,” he shared.
