An inside look
Photos: Davenport's 'No Kings' Protest

On Saturday, October 18, 2025, the No Kings organization held protests nationwide. No Kings is a peaceful movement with over 2,000 events, even reaching a worldwide audience. This event was aimed at protesting the policies and actions of President Donald Trump’s administration. Protesters showed up to oppose a wide range of issues, including the administration’s immigration policies, federal administrations, and fascist tendencies. All of which are opposed to attacking crime in the United States. Demonstrators advocate for a broader democracy, constitutional rights, and the freedom that the United States stands for. The widespread rallies were largely peaceful.

Davenport was one of the many cities that participated in this event in Iowa.
