Muscatine Jingle and Mingle 2025

Why you should show up to celebrate this festive tradition
Muscatine Jingle and Mingle 2025

The Holiday Stroll began in 1984 with only 12 businesses decorating their windows, and a few of them played music or provided some form of live entertainment. Driven by the community as always, people even donated their own Christmas displays to help build the event, and Dorothy Cockshoot was known to bake over 1,000 cookies for this one spectacular night.

Now known as the Muscatine Jingle and Mingle, this event takes place on Friday, December 5th, from 5:30 – 8:00 pm, and will cover six blocks of Downtown Muscatine. This event is free to the public and is a great way to support both small businesses and your fellow MHS students.

Activities:

  • Photos with Santa at Tiny’s Tunes
  • Special characters Elsa, Anna, Olaf, and the Grinch walking around
  • Free hot chocolate from Hyvee
  • Christmas tree lighting event
  • Muscatine Bridge light display by Muscatine Power and Water and Musco Sports Lighting
  • 30+ local businesses open for warmth and shopping
  • MHS band performances in The Nut House
  • MHS Choir performance outside

Last year, there were an estimated 5,000 people who attended, so show up, bring friends, and dress warm for a great start to this holiday season.
