Top Ten Alani Nu Part Two
From the bright, summer-ready cans of Hawaiian Shaved Ice to the mysterious, limited-edition winter drops, Alani Nu really knows how to market a vibe. But do they actually taste as good as the packaging looks? After another year of ‘research,’ I’m back with Part Two of my top ten flavors, featuring the ones that survived my latest taste-test marathon.
1. Lime Slush
If you prefer your energy drinks to be tart rather than sugary, this is your drink. It tastes so similar to a lime popsicle, which was always my favorite flavor. It is a lot lighter than some other Alanis and does not have a super syrupy taste. My only wish is that they would have released this as a summer flavor rather than in the middle of March.
2. Cotton Candy
The ultimate “love it or hate it” flavor. It is intensely sweet and tastes exactly like the sugary treat you get at a carnival or a baseball game. I was so happy when Alani brought this back as a permanent flavor. Before then, I had only tried it once, and although apprehensive, it was so yummy.
3. Sherbet Swirl
The sherbert swirl Alani Nu was made to mimic an orange creamsicle taste without the dairy part. It tastes a little bit like Nerds, in my opinion. The best part about it is that it is very similar in taste to my favorite Bubbl’r flavor, but with more caffeine.
4. Cherry Twist
In my first ranking, this was my favorite flavor. After a year, my taste buds have changed. It is still very good, don’t get me wrong, but it is not my go-to anymore. But the flashbacks I get when drinking a cherry twist Alani are definitely a reason to reach for it every once in a while.
5. Pink Slush
This is probably the sweetest Alani Nu flavor. It tastes like strawberry Fanta (I’m pretty sure that is a thing). Sometimes you do just need a super sweet drink to wake you up in the morning. This drink made it into my top five flavors, barely.
6. Cherry Bomb
This flavor was a Valentine’s Day release in 2026, and Alani really outdid themselves with this. It is a cherry cola flavor, and let me just say: an extra caffeinated cherry Coke? Count me in. Alani Nu, if you’re reading this, please make this a permanent flavor.
7. Hawaiian Shaved Ice
While I would like to be able to say that packaging does not matter, it really does. Alani markets towards young women, so they purposely design their cans to be visibly appealing, and this Alani is the perfect summer drink. Although it is in seventh place, as soon as the warm weather hits, I crave the strawberry and coconut flavors of this Alani.
8. Witch’s Brew
Witch’s Brew made it into my top 10 after they changed the flavor for this fall. It has a more apple taste rather than a caramel taste, which I really liked because to me, caramel flavoring in a drink like that is just kind of weird.
9. Winter Wonderland
I voiced my love for this flavor in my last story, but also, with the absence of it, I have loved it even more. I can not explain the taste at all, but I know it is a drink that I need as soon as possible. However, if it were a year-round flavor, I think that I would not appreciate it as much because it is exclusive to the months of November and December.
10. Orange Kiss
Like I said last time, this one tastes like an orange Lava Burst Hi-C, just carbonated, and it is everything I needed in life. Some people hate it, but I am a big fan. It differs from the orange Celsius, which I really appreciate. And as any other Alani, it is much sweeter, however, more refreshing than some of the others. This one is not the worst by any means, but it did make the overall top ten.
