I went out to write this story, and I realized that students at MHS don’t care for either. Most people want a plain Thanksgiving dessert. I noticed it is more about the mindset of wanting to bring a Thanksgiving-themed dessert to dinner. People crave the aesthetic of each season’s foods.
“I prefer Pumpkin pie because I only eat it on special occasions, and it’s very good when I do eat it,” an anonymous student said.
So the next question is, what do you bring to Thanksgiving dinner? If no one cares for your basic, average pie or pumpkin bars, what will be the hit at your Thanksgiving feast that everyone will be talking about til next year?
Chocolate-Covered Strawberries Turkey Version
This is starring over TikTok, everyone and their brother are trying out this treat! All the ingredients you need are strawberries, small marshmallows, pretzels, and chocolate. Glazing the strawberry in smooth, melted chocolate, while using the marshmallow and
pretzels as the legs of the turkey.
- Turkey Oreos
This is a very simple treat that everyone can’t hold off on. The ingredients included are Oreos, candy corn, jelly beans, candy eyes, and frosting. This is a mixture of chocolatey and sweet gummy-like candy.
- Turkey Cake Pops
This treat takes a bit a work, but overall, something no one can turn down. You need cake box mix, eggs, water, oil, candy corn, candy eyes, and melted chocolate. I’d prefer this with chocolate cake, but it will go great with w
hichever cake mix.
Thanksgiving desserts aren’t just about sugar; they’re about sharing homemade desserts with people you love. No matter what you make it’s the memories around the table that matter most.
