TIME-STAMPED: Cute Date Ideas in Muscatine

When you live in Iowa, you have to get somewhat… creative when it comes to going out.

You walk outside of your home. The wind almost knocks you over. And the tumbleweed goes across your lawn. This is Iowa. Realistically, it is still nasty outside, we have black snow and mushy mud all over the place. But this month is still all about love.

Dates don’t have to take up all of your day, and usually, people do not have that much time to give, so let’s explore the best date ideas in Muscatine together! (By the time of the day)

6:00 AM

This is the perfect opportunity to watch the sunrise with your special someone. Sunsets are known to be romantic. Being able to start the day off with one of the people you are closest to is amazing. A perfect place for this date idea would be Mark Twain Overlook.

Breakfast time! A lot of good options for breakfast are available here in Muscatine (surprisingly).

My personal favorite is the Waffle and Pancake House. They have great staff and service! It tends to be busy, so try and get there earlier if you are in a time crunch.

Other great places for breakfast in town are the Muscatine Family Restaurant, All American Diner, Big Cat’s Cafe, and more.

Around this time you can do a lot of things. Such as a nice walk in the park! (such as Weed Park) There are many trails around Muscatine that you can take. Lunch is also a great date idea.

Tip: Look up restaurants near me!

Another great idea that I would recommend is going through stores with a certain limit and buying things that remind you of each other. A great place to do this is Dollar Tree, they have a pretty decent selection for the prices.

3:00-7:00

The beginning of this is kind of an awkward time. A good option I always love is walking around downtown and supporting Muscatine’s local businesses! Such as Megs, Black Pearl, The Museum, and more! (You can always save an activity for another date with your special someone. Do not feel as if you have to do all of these in one day.)

There always is dinner.

But one activity I love is a movie night. Being able to be together alone and just watch a movie is so rewarding. Get some Valentine’s movie ideas from Jaela’s profile here!

SUNSET TIMEEEE

Watching the sunset can be very intimate and beautiful. You could do it anywhere!

(Also a great date idea: Napping! A good free option.)

Let us know if you have any great date ideas!
